Komen Young Professionals

The Komen Young Professionals (KYP) committee is a new generation of young and aspiring professional men and women engaged in a culture of philanthropy to support the fight to end breast cancer forever.

As part of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Columbus Affiliate, our focus is to increase breast cancer awareness and breast health among young men and women. We aim to raise funds in support of breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment services through fun, philanthropic events, which allow members to socialize, network and make a significant impact in the community.

Shadowbox Live Team Event
KYP and Shadowbox Live are teaming up for a fun-filled evening of mystery and intrigue!  Shadowbox Live is providing specially discounted tickets for its Thursday, April 5 showing of “Smoke and Mirrors” and donating half of the ticket sales to Komen Columbus. As an added bonus, if you tell us your team name at time of registration, we’ll apply the donation to your Race Team account! Check out Shadowbox Gives Back for more details!

KYP Fitness Classes
In order to help you prepare for this year's Race for the Cure, KYP has organized a few donation-only fitness classes. The first class will take place on Saturday, April 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Pure Barre Columbus in Grandview! Come check out the hottest new workout in Columbus while supporting Komen Columbus. You can sign up for the class here or by calling or emailing columbus@purebarre.com or 614-357-5324. (Regular Drop-In Price: $23) A second class will be held on Saturday, May 5. KYP Monthly Meeting
Interested in helping to plan future KYP programming or learn more about what our group is all about? Attend our next meeting on Tuesday, May 1 from 6-7 pm at the Komen Columbus office, 929 Eastwind Drive, Suite 211, Westerville, OH 43081.
