Promise Statement
Renowned for our highly visible, Survivor-centered, community event –
Race for the Cure - Komen Columbus makes this promise to you.
Through our passionate and dedicated volunteers and with the
support of our generous sponsors, donors and loyal Race for the Cure participants, we will serve our 23-county service area by:
- Educating our communities on the vital importance of early detection as a key to breast cancer survival;
- Seeking out and funding grants for breast cancer screening, treatment and support programs – particularly for the underserved;
- Being responsible stewards of your gifts and your trust; and
- Providing up to date information, encouragement and hope to women and men living with breast cancer – from the newly diagnosed to long-term Survivors, their families and friends.
